Safe Campus Campaign
To empower university or college students in Sabah to have better awareness about sexual harassment and what preventive measures they can take, the Safe Campus Campaign was initiated on 15th November 2020 and continued in 2021.
This campaign aims to gauge the awareness and understanding of students in tertiary institutions about sexual harassment on their campus, to build personal connections with sexual harassment survivors and to network with student bodies and leaders to improve safety on campus. |

Awareness CampaignThe campaign was launched on social media with postings of in-fographics about sexual harassment, related laws and jurisdiction about sexual harassment in Malaysia, in both English and Bahasa Melayu version to reach out to young social media users in Malaysia, and particularly in Sabah.

Survey & Story CollectionTo have a better understanding of sexual harassment in campus, a short survey was conducted to get some indication of student awareness and their perceptions of the ecosystem relating to sexual harassment in the institutions they are studying in. The team also reached out to survivors to come forward and share their stories with us with more insights but more importantly, to empower themselves by speaking up about what happened to them.
